David Peterson Obituary
David A. Peterson, 97, of Wallingford passed away on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne O'Donnell Peterson. Father of Suzanne Peterson McGee and husband Michael of Wallingford and the late John D. Peterson. Grandfather of Corey McGee and wife Michelle of Meriden, great grandfather of Hayden McGee. He was born April 29,1924 in New Haven a son of the late Albert and Jane Connolly Peterson, was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and earned an associate degree from New Haven College. David was employed for many years as a metallurgist with the former United Nuclear Corp. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Church in New Haven and most recently Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 in Most Holy Trinity Church, Wallingford. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning prior to the mass from 9:30-10:30 at Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2969 Whitney Ave., Hamden, CT 06518. www.siskbrothers.com

I was honored to know Dave for many years at United Nuclear/UNC Naval Products and long after he left work there in 1990. I enjoyed meeting him in New Haven for dinners at Pepe's Pizza in New Haven and afterwards in Wallingford. He was a big fan of Yale hockey and UConn women's basketball. He was a loyal caretaker for his mom and wife for many years, and it was always a pleasure to meet up with him and talk about many subjects. I miss our phone calls and gatherings.
