Monday, November 24, 2025 Dennis Paul Hanley, 85, longtime resident of North Branford passed away peacefully at his home with his partner of over 60 years James Vogt by his side.
Dennis was born in New Haven on September 17, 1940, son of the late Paul J. Hanley and Veronica (Grabowski) Hanley. Dennis is also survived by a niece Carolann (Sid) Carrera of Illinois, his brothers Paul (Carol) Hanley of New Mexico and Charles (Susan) Hanley of California, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Joyce Devich
Before retirement in 2006 he had worked as a CNA for Hospice in Branford and Madison House in Madison.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford on January 7, 2026 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. George Church, Guilford, CT. Arrangements in care of the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford.
