Doris Ragusa Obituary
Doris E. (Biasucci) Ragusa, age 92, of Hamden, entered into eternal life on Saturday July 28, 2018 at Whitney Center of Hamden. Born on June 7, 1926 in Derby, the daughter of the late Louis and Dora (Pompa) Biasucci. The loving wife of the late Joseph Ragusa for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Michael (Joy) Ragusa of Little River, SC. Beloved grandmother of Jason (Meghan) Ragusa of Milford, Todd Ragusa of Little River, SC, and Gina (Mark) Bender of Hamden. She is also survived by great children Aidan Ragusa of Hamden and Benjamin Ragusa of Milford. Doris was predeceased by two sisters Marion Ferraro and Eleanor Rivers. As a graduate of the Hospital of Saint Raphael School of Nursing with an RN degree, worked as an industrial nurse at Farrel Corporation in Derby and as an office nurse in a family medicine practice with Donald Roach, MD until her retirement. She and Joseph relocated to Port Saint Lucie, FL where they lived and enjoyed the warm sunny climate. Doris was an avid bridge player and enjoyed a variety of crafts.
Funeral Services will be private and burial will be held at Mount Saint Peter's Cemetery of Derby at convenience of the Family. Condolences may be expressed at colonialfunerals.com
