EDITH PAOLILLO Obituary

PAOLILLO, EDITHEdith Paolillo, 95, died on March 9, 2017 in Nashua, NH. She was born on September 4, 1921 in New Haven to the late Dominic and Maria Cappella Savo. She was the beloved widow of Gaetano (Tom) Paolillo. Edie worked at the New Haven Clock Shop during World War II. She was also employed by the New Haven police department as a school crossing guard at St. Boniface School. Later, she worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of CT for over 25 years as a secretary and supervisor. A constant in Edie's life was music. She loved to dance, sing, and listen to music. She avidly played cards and told her "stories." She was part of a large group of friends who shared vacations, were each other's children's godparents, and spent nearly every weekend in search of some fun. Edie moved to New Hampshire in 2009 to be closer to her son, John Paolillo, and his wife Judith Blachek, and their children Gina and Thomas. Her sister, Antionnette Brignola is the only surviving sibling. Rae Palmieri, Anna Catania, Dominic Savo, and Susan Corraro pre-deceased Edie. She is also survived by dozens of loving nieces and nephews.Funeral arrangements are in the care of MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. New Haven.
