Foster Robinson Jr. departed this life Oct. 1, 2018. Foster was born Nov. 15, 1934 in Darlington South Carolina to the late Foster Robinson Sr. and Annie Bee Robinson. Foster leaves to cherish in his memory a loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Vivian Robinson; nine sons, Foster L. Robinson, Cal Robinson, Tyrone Robinson, Darry Robinson, Carlos Robinson, James Robinson, Donald and Daryle Robinson, Maurice Robinson, Tywan Robinson and daughter Elizabeth Robinson; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Robinson and sister, Maxine Cunningham, a devoted niece Carnelia (Sister) Jackson and friend, Janice Sullivan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held Mon. Oct. 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Temple Church, 285 Dixwell Ave., New Haven, CT 06511. Calling hours 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Services of comfort entrusted to McClam Funeral Home, 95 Dixwell Ave. New Haven, CT 06511. May the peace of God be with Vivian and the Robinson family. I'm saddened about his absence here on earth but also excited for his presence with the father. Time will lend great comfort and as seasons change; our hearts will transform and heal from this loss. So, I pray that during this time, may comfort and tranquility be a banner over the whole family.. Foster was a man of quiet strength, a virtuous man; a man of honor and a rock in his family. He will be missed greatly and I'm honored to have been a strand of thread in the fabric of his great legacy. May God's grace, blessing and favor fall upon this family.
