October 13, 1928 - November 24, 2025
Frederick Ludwig Kaiser, age 97, passed away peacefully on Nov. 24, at St. Raphael's Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1928, to Oskar Kaiser and Luise Schauble Kaiser.
He was a dedicated Tool and Die Maker for many years (Schick). He was a Marine Corps Veteran, Masonic Fraternity Past Master, VFW Chaplain, American Legion member, Grand Marshal (2009) Memorial Day Parade West Haven and Harugari member for many years. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and golf, which he shared with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betty Kaiser, and his brother, William Kaiser. Father to 3 daughters: Nancy Smith (Christopher), Karen Lewin (Robert) and Allison Kaiser; 6 grandchildren: Kristin Mariano (Eduardo), Lindsay Wehnert (Brett), Ryan Smith (Mackenzie Williams), Michael Smith, Robert Lewin (Nicole), Michelle Abbott (Kyle); 8 great-grandchildren: Charlotte and Camila Mariano, Savannah and Autumn Wehnert, Maximus and Liliana Lewin, Zackary and Connor Abbott; also 2 nieces: Susan Kaiser Rice (Jon) and Jill Kaiser Dion.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 8AM – 11AM at Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St., West Haven, CT. There will be prayer service at 11AM, at the funeral home, before leaving for All Saints Cemetery, in North Haven, CT, for burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VFW, 233 Spring St., West Haven, CT 06516, a cause close to his heart.
