I served Fred for 14 years as a dedicated Business Growth Specialist at Echlin. He sent me all over the world to find companies to buy . He gave me numerous assignments to review markets to enter and find people to hire.
Truly Fred was a trusted friend and though quiet about it was a devout Christian. He loved the Lord and in his last days became even closer to Him. Clearly I owe much of my consulting success to Fred and I thank God the opportunity to serve him those 14 years. God bless you Fred and may you always Rest In Peace! Ron Ward

I worked for Echlin for 25 years and had the privilege of knowing Fred. My best memory of Fred has during a business planning presentation at double beach, Fred scolded an executive for ending every sentence with "ok?". The room was ice cold as Fred said he needed to leave the room to take a phone call. Just after he exited, the door burst open and Fred asked "ok?".
Fred was tough and kind at the same time. We need more leaders like Fred.

My name is Ron Ward and I was retained as a Business Growth Specialist by Fred from 1983 to 1997 which was 14 years.I was enlisted by Fred to help him grow Echlin. At the time Echlin was $800 Million in sales and when he retired in 1997 Echlin was about $ 3.5 Billion . My role was to find him company's to buy, analyze their potential and provide an in-depth review of their history and the strategy for integrating it into the Echlin family .Over my years of dedicated service I always considered it a great privilege to be his confidant but most importantly to be his friend.Since his retirement I have worked diligently to stay in touch and even traveling to visit him wherever he lived at the time.He was always gracious and engaging even in hismost recent days of illness. There are no words I can say that can even remotely describe the level of respect and love that I had for him. Clearly Fred Mancheski was one of the greatest gifts that God has ever given me. And I pray that he will be welcomed into the eternal kingdom that God promised to us all.Fred , my friend ,may you Rest In Peace in the arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From your dedicated and eternal friend Ron Ward

"He was a man, take him for all in all, I shall not look upon his like again." (William Shakespeare) Fred had a profound influence upon my life; not a day will pass when I do not miss him.

Sending deepest sympathy to the Mancheski Family. I worked for Echlin in Branford, CT from 1960 until my retirement in 2000 (and met my wife of 56 years there). Fred was extremely intelligent, extremely fair, and I considered him a very good friend and mentor. I admired Fred so much, that I asked him what kind of a degree he held and when he told me he was a Mechanical Engineer, I made sure my son earned the same. Fred's kindness to me and my family will never be forgotten. God has gained a powerful angel. God Bless your family and God Bless you, Fred, I'll never forget you.

Worked for Echlin in the 1980's and 1990's.
Vividly remember the annual business planning meetings in Connecticut. Mr. Mancheski was a tough guy but also a great leader and a good man who treated people fairly,
My family and I prospered under his watch,
My condolence to the Mancheski family.
