Gary Chieppo Obituary
February 3, 1945 - January 6, 2023
Gary John Chieppo Sr., Died at YNHH on January 6, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in New Haven on February 3, 1945 to the late John Chieppo and Ann DiCapua Chieppo.
He is survived by his daughter Kirsten Ann, sons Christian Daniel, and Nicholas Dante. He was predeceased by his son Gary Jr.
Survived by his sister Joan Dilzer, his nephew Mario Chieppo, predeceased by his sisters Julia Chieppo Mcconnell and Delores Lockert and his precious shadow Rosie.
He also leaves behind his beloved partner Jean Edwards-Chieppo, many loving family and friends, and his loyal dogs Lucy and Babygirl.
Gary worked at UPS for 39 years, retiring in 2007. Besides the deep love of his family and friends, Gary had a passion for animals and trivia, especially Jeopardy! He enjoyed boating, his motorcycle, wildlife and the outdoors.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life luncheon on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1-4PM at Seasons, 990 Foxon Road, East Haven.

Dear Jean and Family, my wife Helen and I offer our heart felt condolences on Gary's passing. I have known Gary since 5th grade in Nathan Hale. Through out the years our paths usually crossed and we would talk about this world we live in. He was often insightful and always interesting. Gary was one of the early members of the "Morris Cove Chapter of AARP". The last time I saw him was at Gary Jr's luncheon in December. I am so sorry you and the family are going through this emotional pain and loss again. He was a good man! I will miss him.

Gary has been in and out of our lives for the past70 years, as a neighbor on Concord Street,as a classmate at Nathan Hale and cross and again as a member of our AARP (old people)group.
