George McMahon Obituary

McMAHON, GEORGE J. SR. George J. McMahon, 76, of Towne House Rd., Hamden, passed away Oct.14th at CT Hospice with his family at his side. George was born in the Bronx, N.Y., January 15, 1937, the son of the late Thomas & Anna McMahon. He leaves behind his son George Jr. (Kari), his daughter Regina (Jason) Mastel, his son Christopher (Jaclyn) Faherty, nine grandchildren, Olivia, Sean, Briana, Kiley, Gavin, Christopher, Dan, Joe, Jessica, and his ex wife and close friend Trudie McMahon. Also his sister Kathleen O'Sullivan, brother Thomas (Barbara) McMahon, sister-in-law Doris McMahon, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. An Army veteran, he worked for Metro North as a conductor for 43 years before his retirement. Funeral FRIDAY 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, and at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 P.M.. Burial, with military honors, in All Saints. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405

George was the best neighbor!! Always calling to play his Happy Birthday Harmonica and waiving to me with his beloved cat!!! A truly gentleman. My deepest sympathy to the entire family
