George Soresino Obituary

SORESINO (A), GEORGE M. George Matthew Soresino, 82, of Pine Grove, PA, formerly from Oxford, CT, died Monday, June 11, 2012 in Schuylkill Med. Ctr., Pottsville, PA. Born Feb. 28, 1930 in Ansonia, CT, the son of the late Guiseppe and Italina (Turce) Soresina. He was a member of the Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Quarryville, PA., and served in the Navy during the Korean War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (European Clasp). George worked as a Tool Designer for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT, was a member of the VFW and life member of the NRA. Preceding him in death was his first wife of 37 years, Phyllis Elizabeth (Kibbler) Soresino, 3 brothers; 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kay Leslie Park Soresina, 2 sons, James Soresino of Naugatuck, Ct, George Soresino of Hollister, FL, a daughter, June Cheatham of Belleville, IL, 2 stepsons, Ira Gloates of West Haven, CT; Steven Gloates of Schulykill Haven, PA, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Athens of Seymour, CT.
