Helen Rogalski

Rogalski, Helen M. (Kowalski) Helen Mary Kowalski Rogalski passed away on January 25, 2013, at Whitney Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hamden at the age of 88. She was the wife of the late Stanley Joseph Rogalski, Sr. Helen was born in New Haven on March 15, 1924, a daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Suymanswska Kowalski. She is survived by her loving children Sandra Winston of Abingdon, Maryland; Stanley J. Rogalski, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Hamden and John T. Rogalski and his wife Louise of New Haven; and her devoted niece, Karyn Turcotte and her husband Richard of West Haven. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Howard "Newt" Winston. Surviving her also are her seven grandchildren, Sean Winston of Edgewood, Maryland; Brian Rogalski of McLean, Virginia; John T. Rogalski, Jr. of East Haven; Jennifer Gyurovszky of North Haven; Michelle Rogalski of Hamden; Nancy Rogalski and Melissa Rogalski of New Haven; and her four great-grandchildren, DaeSean and DaeAnna Winston and Julie and JT Rogalski. Helen was an avid fan of the UConn Girls Basketball Team and every season knew all the players' names and statistics. Her funeral will leave the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 821 State Street, New Haven on SATURDAY morning at 9:15 followed by a Celebration of her life at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Wallingford. Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 8 until 9 a.m. prior to services.
