James "Jim" A. Fritzell
James A. "Jim" Fritzell, Sr, 78, The Villages, Florida passed away on December 9, 2022, at Cornerstone Hospice House in The Villages, Florida. Jim was born on October 3, 1944, in Waterbury, Connecticut to his parents Clifford Fritzell and Ruby Nelson.
Jim was a former Tool and Die Maker and had worked in the Healthcare Manufacturing Industry and helped to create machinery to build disposable needles at a time when they were most needed in helping to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Jim and Terese met when she was 16 years old, while Terese was visiting her aunt's cottage at the beach and then fell in love and were married when she was 21 years old and have been together for 55 years. Jim's working life was in Connecticut until 2015 when they retired to The Villages, Florida and began to really enjoy life by traveling throughout the state and taking day trips, mini vacations and eating at the many country clubs. They were really happy to move to The Villages to enjoy the lifestyle it offered. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Terese Bigio Fritzell of The Villages, FL, a son: James A. Fritzell, Jr., MD and his wife Christella Torres of Long Beach, CA; a sister: Lois Fritzell Top and her husband Frank of Pittsboro, NC; a sister-in-law: Maria Bigio Tarducci and her husband Dave of North Branford, CT; a loving grandson: Chase Temple Fritzell of Waltham, MA and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a beloved daughter, Jessicsa Renee' Fritzell, a former daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Temple Blodgett and two brothers, Clifford Fritzell, Jr. and Steven Fritzel.
