GRIFFIN, JANE MUNKENBECK Jane Munkenbeck Griffin, passed away with grace at her home in Madison, on Monday, Dec. 19. Born in 1921 in San Francisco to Elizabeth Keegan and Charles F. Hutchinson, she raised six children with her first husband Arthur H. Munkenbeck Jr. in Garden City, New York. After his death, she married Domenic “Bud” Griffin and moved to Madison where she made her home for 14 years. Mr. Griffin passed away in 2014 at the age of 100. She is survived by her sister, Mary Grassfield; six children, Ann Munkenbeck (Michael), Arthur Munkenbeck (Eva), Jane ”Sissy” Slacter (David), Priscilla Cherrin (Philip), John Munkenbeck (Karen), and Thomas Munkenbeck (Amelia); and four grandchildren, Daniel Slacter (Jane), Elizabeth Munkenbeck, Annie Schlingbaum (Joseph) and John Munkenbeck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 7, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Margaret Roman Catholic Church, 24 Academy Street, Madison.
