Janet Rivera Obituary
Janet Marie Rivera, 63, of Milford, beloved mother of Rachel and Benjamin Kurlander, passed away at home on January 15, 2024. Born on August 5, 1960, in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Jennie (Ruiz) Rivera.
Janet grew up in Bethany, Connecticut, in her parents' loving home. She graduated from Yale University and received her medical degree from Boston University. She went on to lead a successful and fulfilling career as a pediatrician, touching the lives of countless families. Her happiest days were spent on Cape Cod with her children, where she created everlasting memories.
Janet is survived by her children, Rachel and Benjamin; siblings, Kathy, Peter, and Richard; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members; and her ex-husband, Glenn Kurlander. We love her deeply and hold her close in our hearts.
Friends and family may call from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org.
