Joan Dallas Obituary

Joan M. Dallas
Joan M. Dallas, 85, of Madison passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 31, 1936. She was the devoted wife of Captain Allen R. Dallas, an American Airlines pilot. Together they spent many happy years traveling the world together, and voyaging on their boat "First Class."
Joan was the matriarch of the Dallas family. She is survived by her four children, Laraine Kehoe and husband Michael Kehoe, Judy Shafer and husband Jeffrey Shafer, Cherie Malona and husband Skip Malona, and Allen R. Dallas II and his wife Kara Dallas. She is also survived by her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Joan. She enjoyed family gatherings, playing bridge with friends, golfing and winters in Florida. She loved to be surrounded by loved ones whom will continue to honor her legacy through lobster parties and glamorous trips around the world.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 22nd from 3-5 p.m. at the Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Rd., Madison, CT. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 23rd at 11 a.m. at the Swan Funeral Home. Burial to follow at West Cemetery in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joan's name may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.

To the entire Dallas family: I have had the honor of working with Al Dallas Sr. In the 1980´s , as well as Al Dallas Junior during the 1990´s and the 2000´s. Both very professional aviators with a unique sense of humor. I have never met Joan, but got to know her through her husband and Al Jr. Nice job Joan! My condolences to all of the Family. Please Rest In Peace.

My dearest sympathy to the family. I remember spending several weeks at your home in Madison repainting the interior. I had so much fun conversing with you everday. May you rest in peace.

I will always cherish the memory of being a junior Bridesmaid in your wedding with my favorites cousin Allan. In later years it has been fun to go to your home FL and also visit you in Madison and swim in your beautiful pool with your family, which was always a fun time.
