In CT Hospice December 13, 2018, Joan B. DeGioia 86, of Hamden. Beloved wife of John G. DeGioia. Loving mother of Jay DeGioia of Harmony, FL and John J. DeGioia of Washington, DC, sister of Rev. John J. Begley, SJ of Scranton, PA. Also survived by her cherished grandchildren Julianne, Jamie Rose, John Thomas and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Anne Gallagher and Mary Moore. Joan was born in New Haven March 14, 1932, daughter of the late John J. and Mary Donnelly Begley. Prior to her retirement she was a school teacher in California and Connecticut. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Infant Church. Burial in Orange Center Cemetery.
