John C. Carlson
John C. Carlson, age 74, of Fairfield, the loving husband of Eileen Makowsky Carlson for over forty-seven years, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2022 in St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Born in Bridgeport, John was a graduate of Roger Ludlowe High School and then entered the U.S. Air Force serving in the Philippines during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement twenty-two years ago, he spent his entire career working for SNET/AT&T.
John was a super, social person who had many friends and many talents including fixing anything mechanical.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five brothers and sisters: Sandra Carlson, Ronald Carlson, Richard Carlson, Linda Price (William) and Diane Barker (Michael); several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
Friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road in Fairfield or you may view the Mass at the following link: https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/678524826. Interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery with military honors. A gathering to celebrate his life will take place at a later date.
