Joseph DeMaio Obituary
Joseph A. "Joe" DeMaio, 47, of East Haven, beloved husband of Randi Fletcher DeMaio passed away on March 7, 2018 in Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Loving father of Jacob and Julia DeMaio, both of East Haven. Brother of Deborah (Scott) Tarnawa, Laura Kluth, Anthony DeMaio and Charles A. "Chuck" (Tina) DeMaio III all of East Haven. Son-in-law of Debra Jefferis of East Haven and the late Steven Fletcher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joe was born in New Haven on January 6, 1971, son of Marion Santora DeMaio of East Haven and the late Charles A. DeMaio Jr. At the time of his death Joe was an assistant conductor for Metro North Railroad.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven MONDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call SUNDAY from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Julia DeMaio scholarship fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank 391 Foxon Rd. New Haven, CT 06513.
