Joseph Libero Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Steven Libero, 80, of West Haven, unexpectedly on November 28, 2025, in Yale New Haven Hospital.
He was the father of Jennifer Libero-Melchiore, Kristine Welcher (David), stepfather to Carolyn Rubino (Garland Eustier) and Ralph Rubino. Proud grandfather of Maverick and Mason Melchiore, Daniel, Christopher, Matthew, Dalton, Emma, Grace and Samuel, and great-grandfather to Ethan. Brother of the late Josephine Maresca Becker, John Libero and Marguerite Fiore.
Joe was the owner of Ye Olde Barber Shoppe, an iconic business, in the center of West Haven, for 58 years. Through the years, his clients became lifelong friends. Joe was a member of the Corvette Club and loved taking his car to various car shows. He was also a member of the Savin Rock Council and was an avid bowler.
A Celebration of Joe's life will be held on December 29, 2025, in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place, New Haven, from 5pm to 8pm. Send a message of condolence by visiting Joe's Tribute page at www.iovanne.com .
