Onofrio, 85, Wallingford; husband of the late Elizabeth Sliby Onofrio; father of Laura (Anthony) Torino, Kathryn (Robert) Hile & Betty (Al) Palmucci; grandfather of Christine (Ed) Gierla, Steven Torino, Cheryl (Zac) Canada, Michele Palmucci, Tracy (Bob) DeFelice, Lindsay & Marisa Hile; great-grandfather of Gavin Gierla & Riley DeFelice also survived by, a brother Carmen and several nieces & nephews; predeceased by several brothers & sisters; born Jan. 18, 1928, son of the late Luigi & Alessandrina Caporale Onofrio. He had worked as a car painter at Columbus Auto Body. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services which will be held for both Joseph & his wife, Elizabeth, on Saturday, Nov. 16th at 11:30 am in All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven, CT.
