Prospect – Mrs. Judith Lynn (Biatowas) Nocera, age 78, of Prospect passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of David J. Nocera.
Mrs. Nocera was born November 3, 1947 in New Haven daughter of the late Thaddeus Leonard and Shirley Jean (Cooper) Biatowas. She was retired after working for many years as a medical receptionist at Prospect Family Medical and was a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect where she also formerly taught Sunday School. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, gardening, reading and trips to the beach and most of all, spending time with her family and her very special cat Feral.
In addition to her husband David, Mrs. Nocera is survived by her daughter: Doreen Jabs (Seth) of Enfield, her son: Josh Nocera of Prospect, her sister: Debra Laughlin of TN and her brothers: Leonard Biatowas of FL, Steven Biatowas (Annette) of TN and Ronald Biatowas of TN.
Mrs. Nocera's family will receive relatives and friends at Community Funeral Home, the Corona Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 72 Waterbury Road (Next to the Post Office) in Prospect on Sunday January 11, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home immediately following the visitation at 4 p.m. Private burial and committal services will be held at Cheshire Hillside Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
