Kevin E. Houlberg, 67, of West Haven, passed away peacefully, after a long battle with cancer, at Yale New Haven Hospital on November 16, 2025. He was born September 24, 1958, to Gordon V. Houlberg and Gladys R. Houlberg, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Kevin is survived by his two brothers, Gordon V. "Mickey" Houlberg II of West Haven, CT, and Seron R. Houlberg (Debbie) of New Mexico, along with a niece and many friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert A. Houlberg and Neilson V. Houlberg.
Kevin was a retired employee of Amtrak, with over 33 years of service. He lived a good life, enjoying his time with his family and many friends. He loved going to the Big E annually, an event he never missed.
A private service will held for Kevin, as he will be laid to rest at Cementerio Buxeda in Carolina, Puerto Rico. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven CT.
