Linda Connors Obituary

Linda E. Connors
July 15, 2025
Linda E. Connors, of Hamden, passed away on July 15, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Linda was a loving and generous sister, aunt, friend and neighbor.
Born in New Haven on March 4, 1960, to the late Edward P. and Doris W. Connors, Linda was raised in Hamden, by her late Aunt and Uncle, Rosalyn and Phillip Coleman, after her mother's passing. She attended Saint John the Baptist elementary and then Hamden High School.
Linda is survived by and will be dearly missed by her best friend and neighbor, Tilly Jason, brothers, John E. Connors (Louise) of South Carolina, Brad P. Connors of Branford, nieces, Courtney Soule (Justin) of New Hampshire and Kelli Connors (Josh Weiss) of South Carolina.
Linda was also a cherished great-aunt to Marine and John Soule.
Dear cousins, Whitney Hemstock and Tom Withington, also mourn Linda's passing. She is also survived by many Withington and Coleman cousins, whom she loved.
Linda was a proud Town of Hamden Police and Fire Dispatcher, and then United States Postal worker in North Haven. Many friends from both of those towns will fondly remember her, especially her immediate neighbors, Ken Keen and the Johnson family.
Linda was a passionate advocate for people and places she loved. She freely and bravely expressed her opinions with family, friends, softball umpires and Town officials. We are all better off having known Linda.
The family would like to thank the many nurses and doctors on the YNHH Cardiac ICU for the professional and compassionate care given to Linda and the family.
Funeral arrangements are private, per Linda's wish.
A celebration of Linda's life is planned for the fall of this year.

Lin, there is only one of you in a lifetime. I can´t even express how much your life affected mine in such a positive way. I can´t even express only smile and laugh out loud just thinking about you. You were a household name with my entire family. Your generosity expands thru the 5+ decades we knew you. You never waivered from the truth or did you stay quiet when you witnessed injustices being exhibited to a fault. You only knew how to give of yourself effortlessly. I would have loved to had one more sighting with you on this earth. God had different plans. We would have just picked up where we left off. You have left an indelible footprint on this earth, but mostly in my heart. I love you my sister. TY for all of the great memories and moments we shared in this life together. They made me a better person. Now, our angel from up above, ty for gifting me, all of us, with your love. R.I.P. Pain gone. I will deeply miss you while still on this earth. Arrivaderci until we meet again. Love ya down to my toes, Sally O

I was so sorry to read of the loss of Linda. My family lived on Augur St which was around the corner from Barraclough. Linda was always friendly and had quite a sense of humor. She was taken too soon and I offer my deepest sympathy to her family. Respectfully, Jane Cassidy Nocerino Hamden,Ct.

Brad, John and Louise, I am very sad to hear of your dear sister Linda's passing. Underneath that witty sense of humor she was a very loving and caring soul who would give you the shirt off her back! Her generosity and kindness had no limits. I've never met anyone else who could make an entire room crack up laughing with one simple word or sentence. Her humor was unmatched and certainly a very special gift. Her essence and her memory will long live on with those who had the opportunity to know her. "Fly high Linda, You were one of a kind, and will never be forgotten!"

We were introduced to Linda by a good friend of hers that she grew up with. The introduction was by e-mail, and we never had the pleasure of meeting her face to face...unfortunately. Both my husband and I had lots of political fun with Linda, she was always making us laugh with her wonderful humor. She was definitely one of a kind and we will greatly miss our correspondence with her. God Bless and keep her sweet soul. Margaret and Demetri Vagalatos, El Paso Texas
