Linda Friello Obituary
Linda Grace Friello, of Hamden, passed away May 27, 2023. Born in New Haven on October 22, 1969, daughter of Rosanne Brennan Friello Raccio and the late Thomas Joseph Friello, and stepdaughter of Peter Salvatore Raccio. Linda was a graduate of Gateway College and Albertus Magnus College. She was a medical accounting assistant at the Yale University School of Medicine for 28 years. Linda was a passionate volunteer for Special Olympics Connecticut, coaching several sports for many years. She had a great love of her fur babies and volunteered with Petco Dog Rescue, assisting with adoption and training of animals. She is the loving sister of Lisa Ventura, Laura (Edward) Poulin, Thomas Joseph (the late Suchada) Friello and step-sister of Annie (Dwayne) Mize and Alphonse (Debra) Raccio. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 3:00-6:00 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10:00 in St. Michael Church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State St. #1 Hamden, CT 06517. Share a memory and sign Linda's guest book online at www.iovanne.com .
