Linda Hofbauer Obituary
August 29, 1943 - November 27, 2025
Linda Wolff Hofbauer, beloved wife of Henry Bear Hofbauer, of Cheshire, CT and Naples, FL, passed away unexpectedly on November 27. 2025. Linda was born in Hartford, CT. She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel Wolff and the late Sylvia Atlas Wolff.
Linda will be greatly missed by Hank, her husband of almost 60 years; her loving daughters, Wendy Hofbauer Opin (Eric) and Lisa Hofbauer Lipman (Andy); her four grandchildren, Adam Opin, Lauren Opin, Via Lipman and Sadie Lipman; her sister, Ellen Wolff Hyner (Rob) and her sister-in-law, Nancy Hofbauer.
A graduate of Skidmore College, Linda loved her family and friends, her community, and real estate. She was a successful realtor at Westledge Realty, William Raveis Real Estate, and Calcagni Real Estate. She then became manager of Calcagni Real Estate, and retired from that position in 2011. She was a past president of the Wallingford Chamber of Commerce and the Wallingford Education Foundation. She enjoyed theater, movies, book clubs, golfing and spending time with those that she loved.
The family will mourn privately during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions in Linda Hofbauer's memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or Shriner's Children's Philadelphia (donate.shrinerschildrens.org), two of Linda's favorite charities.

I worked w Linda at Calcagni Real Estate for many years...No one taught me more than Linda...She was wonderfully bright and compassionate w exacting standards and I loved her for it. She used to always say, "if you are deciding whether you should do something or not, the answer is always Yes." Good sound advice. She will be greatly missed..Kathy Rocklin

So sorry to hear of Linda´s passing. I always enjoyed golfing with her. She was fun to play with and we always enjoyed chatting and catching up. Praying for you all in this difficult time. She will be missed by all of us.
