Linda Katz Obituary
Linda I. Katz, age 79, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice. Born in New Haven on January 29, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Israel George "Kitty" Katz and Anna Bergius Katz. Linda is survived by her daughters, Michelle and her husband Todd Rose of Hamden and Lisa and her husband David Canning of Cheshire; her grandchildren Tye and Gage Canning; her brothers Robert (Theresa) Katz of Hamden and Michael Katz of Branford; her niece Michele (Melissa) Katz; and nephews Jonathan Katz & Michael (Pam) Katz. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Nancy Katz. Linda was a resident of Hamden most of her life; she was a former secretary at Quinnipiac University and operated an at-home childcare center for many years. Linda loved gardening, and always enjoyed the beach, time with her grandchildren, and playing mahjong.
Friends may visit with her family on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home, 2300 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Her interment will be private. To send a condolence to her family, please see her obituary at: www.beecherandbennett.com.
