LOUISE WEBER MULLIGAN

1923 - 2017

Louise Weber Mulligan died at her home on June 29th at the age of 94. Born in New Haven on January 11, 1923, the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia Beschel Weber, lived in North Haven for 64 years and was predeceased by John Mulligan, her husband of 59 years. She is survived by three children, Ann Grogan and her husband Lawrence Gaechter of Northford, Jane Cavanaugh and husband James of Cheshire, and John Mulligan Jr. and Donna Bentz of Wallingford. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Mark Grogan (Joan), Kate Ingram (Miles), Sara Gaechter, Leigh Herzog (Joseph), Ellen Agnello (Kevin), Patrick Cavanaugh, Carley Mulligan and Ryan Bentz, in addition to four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mulligan is survived by her sisters-in-law, Muriel Weber and Dolly Holleran, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary and George Weber. Mrs. Mulligan, a graduate of Stone School of Business, worked as an executive secretary at American Steel and Wire before raising her children, and later, spent several years working in the Orchard Hill Junior High School library in North Haven. An active and energetic woman for most of her life, Mrs. Mulligan enjoyed traveling throughout the country, but was happiest at home with her family. Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Wednesday morning at 10:00 with the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating.
