Marie Estelle Giaimo 76, of New Haven passed away peacefully April 25, 2021 in Yale New Haven Hospital- St. Raphael Campus. Born in New Haven on April 26, 1944, New Haven resident for all of her life and daughter of the late John and Ann Cimmino Giaimo. Marie worked for Bank of America for many years, retiring as a Discount Bank Supervisor. She was the loving sister of the late Thomas Giaimo. Marie had a kind and generous heart to all she knew and touched the lives of many. Her interests included Mohegan Sun, Fox 5 news and UCONN woman's basketball. She especially adored being with family. Her kind heart, funny story telling and sense of humor will sadly be missed. She is survived by her niece Alisa Gordon, nephews John and Tom Giaimo, and many cousins, including Angela and Keith Massimino and their 5 children. A special thank you to all including their daughters Gina and goddaughter Kimberly who helped assisting in Marie's care throughout the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday morning at 10:00 in St. Michael Church, 29 Wooster Place in New Haven. Burial will follow in Mount St. Peter Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required for all services. The Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. is in care of her arrangements. I've taken care of Marie for a long time when I worked as a home health aide in Connecticut she was kind and loving to me always talking about God I'm really shocked at her passing I've been trying to get a hold of her for longest time my prayers and sympathy go out to the family and friends who loved her she was a wonderful person
