Marvin Jamron Obituary

Marvin Allen Jamron
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of Marvin Allen Jamron, 95, who passed away peacefully on September 28th, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born May 18, 1930 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Marvin led a life defined by devotion-to his country, his passions, and most of all, his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, a chapter of his life that instilled in him deep discipline, strength, and humility.
After his service, he built a distinguished career as an accountant at Armstrong Tire, where his precision and dedication earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. He was the Treasurer and a Board Member of Briarwood College of Southington, CT.
Outside of work, Marvin lived life with curiosity and joy. He loved playing bridge with friends, carefully crafting model airplanes, and immersing himself in old western films. A lover of books and loyal companion to his dogs, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. In his younger years, he was also an accomplished amateur boxer-a testament to his spirited and determined nature.
Marvin was a proud member of Congregation Or Shalom, where he found community and connection.
He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Marcia Jamron, children Lisa Jamron Block and Susan Veilleux, cherished grandchildren Katie Block, Zachary Reiner, Maddy Block, Erin Block, Gregory Reiner, Hannah Jamron, Adam Veilleux, and Sam Veilleux, and his great-grandchildren Annie Ward, Isabel Wilder, Amelia Ward, Jack Wilder, and Vivian Reiner. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Jay David, whom he held close in his heart always.
Above all, Marvin loved his family more than anything. His warmth, humor, and steadfast love will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
Funeral Services will be held at Beth Israel Cemetery, 855 Derby Milford Rd., Orange, on TUESDAY, September 30th at 12:00 noon. The Robert E. Shure & Son Funeral Home, New Haven is in care of Arrangements Shiva will be held Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the family's home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marvin's name to ALS United Connecticut of Milford, CT, or the Or Shalom Synagogue of Orange, CT.

Dear Marcia,
I just read about the passing of your dearest husband, Marvin. That is truly sad news. He was a great guy, and I know there will be a big hole in the hearts of your large family.
I shall never forget the wonderful time Jack and I had with you and other couples many years ago at Cape Cod. Such good memories will sustain you in the years ahead. Much love and condolences to all. Nancy Kasden Talsky

I will miss being "skinned alive" at the bridge table each week by the perfect gentleman! I looked forward to seeing him every week and I will never forget the phrase he lived and loved..."I love this country".
He did and that is part of the reason we loved him too. Rest Peacefully
