Mary Carroll Obituary

Mary Susan (Chamberlain) Carroll, 72, passed away peacefully at her Siesta Key, FL home on Monday, June 27, 2022 after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.
Sue was born in New Haven, Connecticut and attended Saint Mary's High School and Sacred Heart University where she graduated cum laude. She later completed her Masters degree at Western Connecticut State University.
She was more than just a wonderful mother to her three daughters Elisabeth, Kate, and Shannon, and wife to Stephen, also from New Haven. Sue was the family's rock and glue.
Sue and Steve recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 2nd. She doted on her family and was happiest when spending time with them. She had a lifelong passion for reading, sharing her love of books with her daughters. She was also a dedicated volunteer at various community organizations and schools.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, or UNICEF in her name.

Sue was so special in so many beautiful, caring ways. She and her warm smile especially made this world a wonderful place for daughters Kate, Shannon and Liz, as well as her doting husband Steve.
Sue and her contagious laughter will be sorely missed. She will thought of often and very. sweetly.
Our hearts have an unfillable void.
