MIRIAM WOOTTON Obituary

WOOTTON, MIRIAM “LYNNE” Miriam “Lynne” Wootton died March 17, 2015 with her family by her side. Born April 11, 1942 to the late Miriam Cox McLeod and Walter McLeod. Beloved mother of Kelly (Jay) McGuinness, Mark (Gina) Wootton, Tracey (Jack) Vegliante, Scott (Tracy) Wootton. She is the grandmother of Sean (Sarah), Taylor & Dylan McGuinness, Alyssa, Michael & Nicholas Andreucci, Jack, Grace & Christopher Wootton, Mark and Matthew Wootton. She is also survived by her devoted love of 21 years, Leonard Axelrod and her best friends, Joann & Wendell Corey and Pam & Dan Ossorio. Lynne had a successful career at Yale University as Director of Admissions for Yale University School of Medicine. She was a vivacious, joyful woman full of life. She was a lifelong, die hard NY Yankee fan who loved traveling the world with Len. Her kids and grandchildren were her life. The family expresses deepest appreciation to Dr. Wassim Fares of Yale and Kim Doerfler and Linda Hill of Hospice at Masonicare. Calling hours are Thursday (TODAY) from 4 - 8 p.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home 3105 Whitney Ave. Hamden. Funeral services are private. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
