Our beloved mother, Palmina Noble, 101, died peacefully at the Regency House in Wallingford just weeks before her 102nd birthday.
Palmina was a caring mother who always put her family first. She took great pride in keeping her home and raised her children with the Italian traditions lovingly passed down to her by her own parents. She worked in office administration at the AC Gilbert Company and later managed payroll for the family's multi site business, Campbell & Elm Donuts (Mr. Donut). She leaves behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family.
She is survived by her children Barbara Rascati of Branford, Sue Vitagliano of Hamden, and Gary Vitagliano of Malahide, Dublin and his wife Susan Kavanagh-Vitagliano; her grandchildren Sara Julianelle, Christopher and Edward Valente, Abigail Rose Vitagliano and Michael Vitagliano.
Palmina was predeceased by her two husbands, Gennaro Vitagliano and Frederick Noble; her sons Gerald and Peter Vitagliano; sons in law Sal Rascati and Edward Valente Sr.; and her brother Alphonse Manna and sisters Carmel Prete, Vicki Petrillo, and Rose Petrarca.
Calling hours will be held at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, CT 06512, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish – St. Vincent dePaul Church on Taylor Ave., East Haven, on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 9:45 AM. Burial will follow immediately at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven, where she will be laid to rest in her family plot.
