My sincere condolences to the Carroll family. Pete was one of my adult guitar students...and actually my favorite. I looked forward to his lessons because he was always upbeat...even though he was usually off beat...cheerful, sincere, and just fun to talk to. He would talk to my baseball playing son about the game. He was full of life and knew how to live it the right way. I was blessed to know him.

Quite a while ago, long time family friends, Pete, Marty Antisdale, "Clothesline" MacLeod, Ronny McLeod and my father Bob Blake and their kids would go down to Central Grammar to play pickup basketball Sunday mornings. We were very competitive to say the least. As my team won a few games I started chirping a tad. Just before the next game I heard Pete say to his team, don't worry I got HIM. On the next play I drove down the lane and Pete stuffed the ball down my throat and I crashed to the floor. As I got myself together there was this long arm extended towards me. It was Pete helping me up. Needless to say the chirping stopped rather quickly and lesson learned! Also I'd like to say, Pete thanks for giving me a spot on Post 196 legion team. You'll never know how much that meant to me. Chris, Sean and Colleen, you are great friends. Our prayers are with you and your families.
