Predency Daniels Obituary
Predency Boyd Daniels, 84, was born on November 6, 1937 in Pitt County, NC to the late William Thomas and Hattie Elizabeth (Daniels) Boyd. She entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in North Haven, CT.
Dency migrated to New Haven, CT and met the love of her life Eddie Daniels, Sr. She was a mother to many, giving birth to 7 children but legally had a total of 10 children. Upon arriving to New Haven, she worked at St. Raphael's Hospital, and retired in 1985 after more than 40 years of service as a phlebotomist. Predency was an original and faithful member of St. Mary's UFW Baptist Church for approximately 48 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 65 years, Eddie Daniels, Sr.; sons, Freddy Daniels (Trena) of Hamden, CT, Eddie Daniels, Jr. (Arlene), and Eric Daniels of New Haven, CT, and Melvin Daniels of Ayden, NC; daughters, Predency Rodgers (Jonathan), Eva Dale Daniels-Smith (Eustace) of Hamden, CT, Robin Higgins (Chief Ronnell) of North Haven, CT, Andrea Daniels-Singleton (Daniel) and Latonya Bailey (Alvan) of New Haven, CT, Essie Roach (Joe) of Grifton, NC; sisters, Apostle Martha Green of Hamden, CT and Geneva Jackson of New Haven, CT; sister-in-laws, Zarie Hardy (Sam) and LouieDale Powell (Jessie) of NC; 31 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a host of god-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jordan Langley, Rufus Boyd, Arlander Langley, John C. Boyd, William Thomas Boyd, and Ernest Clemons; sisters, Ethel Kennedy, Christine Gant, Minister Betty Gardner, Mary Council, Ida Short, Mother Cora Smith, and Sarah Gay; and grandson, Curtis Roach.
A celebration of her life will take place Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St Matthew's UFW Baptist Church, 400 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511. Friends may call Friday at the church from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Services by Howard K. I didn't know Predency, however, for some reason her obituary showed in my feed and I was drawn to read it. All I can say is what a life and legacy she leave behind. I sense her strength and know that this strength, resolve, and devotion will serve her well in her next life. My deepest sympathies to her family.
