Regina (Ginny) Mae Butcher Durazzo, age 79, entered into rest on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Branford, CT Hospice with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of 49 years to the late Vincent C Durazzo Sr. She was born in New Haven, CT October 1, 1942. The daughter of the late Joseph Butcher and the late Mary Gormley. A longtime resident of Guilford, CT for 54 years. She was a former employee of the UI Company in New Haven, CT. She remained a homemaker after having her children which was her favorite and most important position. She is survived by beloved sons Vincent C. Durazzo Jr. (Joanne) and Carmine J. Durazzo (Robi) loving grandchildren Michelle R. Covert (Nicholas) and Danielle N. Durazzo (John) her great-granddaughter Sophia M Covert. Her loving brother Gerald Butcher (Dolores), sister Joann Izzo (Anthony) and brother William Gormley. She is also survived by many cousins, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends. Regina loved animals and had several dearly loved dogs Zack, Buster and recently Nitro. Nitro was a loyal companion to Regina during her illness and gave much comfort in her final days. Regina was known for bringing the family together for summer picnics and holiday gatherings. She loved to cook and bake, her specialty was snowball cookies. The casino and playing bingo was another favorite of hers. The family would like to thank Branford, CT Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 11:00 a.m. at the Saint George Catholic Church 33 Whitfield Street Guilford, CT.
