Richard J. Esposito, 56 of East Haven, beloved husband of Stephanie Anderson Esposito, passed away January 3, 2022 in Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus. Loving father of Richard and Louis Esposito both of East Haven and Ashley (Miles) Pickering of Meriden. Grandfather of Amelia Pickering. Richard was born in Bridgeport on December 8, 1965 son of Conni Leffler Esposito of Orange and the late Louis Esposito and Richard (Jane) Donnelly. Grandson of Madge Leffler of Orange and the late Gene Leffler. Uncle of John Davis. Brother of Bonnie (Mark) Sprague, Renee (Lucian) King, Christine Donnelly, Kelly Lehn, Ralph Esposito and Eric Vanstone. Richard was the nephew of David Leffler. Richard is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. At the time of his death, Richard was a laborer for New Haven Public Works. He was an Army veteran.
Family and friends are invited to a parlor service and military service in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Road, East Haven WEDNESDAY evening at 7:00. Family and friends may call WEDNESDAY from 5pm to 8pm. Interment will be private. Sign Richard's guest book online at www.portofuneralhomes.net.

Drew just emailed that he learned that Rick died. He was stunned, noting he loved Ricky like a brother. I have thought of your family so often, but we lost track. I am sorry for that. I loved you all so much. Central to our life in Orange, Connie, Lou, Bonnie, Ricky. My condolences, Connie. I love you so dearly.
