ROBERT J. MASSIMIN

1936 - 2015

MASSIMIN, ROBERT J. Robert J. Massimin, passed away unexpectedly in Hamden on June 19th. Born March 19,1936 son of the late Theodore and Delia Massimin. A proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps ,Bob served aboard the USS New Jersey(BB62) and heavy cruiser Newport News, attaining the rank of sergeant. He also served with the Second Marine Division at Camp Lejeune, NC and was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League, a longtime supporter and campaign member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation of Quantico, VA and the Semper Fedelis Society. In civilian life, he was employed as supervisor by the United Parcel Service for many years and was also employed as a production manager by Aura Manufacturing and Methode Electronics Co. both of North Haven. Before his retirement in 2001, he was employed by the TMC Electronics of Durham. He is survived by several nieces and nephews and was predeceased by brothers, Thomas and Arthur Massimin.
