Ronald Earl Sledge, 72, of West Haven, CT passed away on September 25, 2022. He was born on December 10, 1949 in Guymon, OK, son of the late Earl and Betty Sledge. After graduating from Guymon High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway. After completing college, he moved to Connecticut. He enjoyed his career as a shift supervisor from the UI/PSEG power plant in Bridgeport, CT, prior to his retirement. Ron is survived by his wife of 38 years, Christine Johnson Sledge; his children Jennifer (Patrick) Bellew, Thomas (Tessa) Sledge; his brother Dolan (Pam) Sledge; and his beloved grandchildren Eleanor, Benjamin, Madison and Amelia.

I was deeply saddened to hear abouts Ron's death.
He was a fellow Vietnam veteran. He was an easy going, great guy. Hopefully, he's with the Lord in heaven. No more pain and suffering.
He will be sorely missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ron's passing.
I really enjoyed working with Ron, both he and I worked well together as Shift Supervisors.
His knowledge of his Navy days, working as a ship's engineer on
the aircraft carrier USS Midway certainly made him a great asset to the UI.
Thank you Ron for all those wonderful years of memories working together.
