Rosalie Patricia Mericle Gesino 84 of North Haven beloved wife of the late Albert Gesino and George A. Costello passed away on February 18, 2018 in CT. Hospice. Loving mother of Colleen (Joseph) Serra of North Branford, Rene (Kenneth) Kuester of East Haven and Cindy Blankenship of Northford. Grandmother of Alyssa and Lauren Serra and Michael and Amanda Capasso and the late Scott Farquharson. Great grandmother of Jamison and Jocelyn Dimes. Rosalie was born in New Haven on January 8, 1934 daughter of the late John and Rena Moscarello Mericle. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Pat loved to travel and had many fun trips that she always talked about. She was the happiest having family and friends gathered around her big table for a great meal and many laughs.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven and are private. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Memorial contributions may be made to CT. Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd. Branford CT. Sign Pat's guest book online at

Words cannot express my sadness for your entire family. I cannot say enough about this lovely lady. She was so sweet, so special, so loving. She treated me like one of her own daughters, and she was a 2nd mother to me. I fondly remember Sunday dinners, sleepovers, and the best chicken cutlets and mashed potatoes you could ever have. And those homemade coconut Easter eggs with potatoes, oh my goodness. She loved to feed everyone, such an amazing lady. I will hold you in my heart for always until we meet again. xxxooo
