SARAH SALTZMAN Obituary

SALTZMAN, SARAH (SUE) Sarah (Sue) Saltzman died Sept.19, at the Branford Hospice after a brief illness. She had been living at the Hamden Congregate Assisted living facility for the last 4 years. Sarah was born in Hartford, CT on June 19, 1922, and her maiden name was Sarah Malitz. She married David Saltzman on June 21, 1942. Her husband, David, died on February 11, 2007, in Tamarac, Florida. Sarah is survived by her son, Allan Saltzman and her daughter Robin Urgil. Sarah worked for many years as a saleslady for women’s apparel at G. Fox and company in Hartford, Sears in West Hartford at Corbins’s corner, and D & L’s in West Hartford. She continued working as a saleslady in Tamarac, Florida where she lived for many years. Sarah loved fine clothes and good food especially Italian food. She was an elegant lady and will be remembered as a friendly and attractive lady who loved to laugh, put on clothes that were often her favorite shade of green, and would never refuse an invitation to dine Italian.

Allan, I can’t believe it’s been six years already. Last month it was already two years for my mom! The years just seem to fly by. Thinking of you during this sad time. At least we have happy memories to remind us of happier times.
