Sharon May, 70, of East Haven, died at Yale New Haven Hospital on Sunday, August 12, 2018. She was born in New Haven on April 16, 1948 to the late Joseph F. and Madelyn Hamilton Hopkinson. She is survived by a son Charles May of East Haven, a daughter Jeanna May of Naugatuck, three brothers, Joseph Hopkinson of Branford, David (Terri) Hopkinson of Milford, James Hopkinson of Branford, two sisters, Mary and Beverly Hopkinson, both of Branford, four grandchildren, Angelina Cardona, Stephen May, Autumn May and Ariana Sandillo and a great granddaughter, Jaslynn Torres. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Mary May and Giovanni Cardona, her beloved life partner, Paul Morman and a sister-in-law Kathy Pierce. Sharon loved flowers and all kinds of birds.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the East Haven Memorial Longobardi – Brennan Funeral Home, 425 Main St., East Haven, 203-467-1708. Burial services will be private. Please visit Sharon's memorial page at easthavenmemorial.com and sign her guest book.
