Sue DeMarco

DEMARCO, SUE Sue (Assunda) DeMarco, age 96, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, July 3, 2011 in the Shelton Lakes Convalescent Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late William J. DeMarco. Mrs. DeMarco was born in Derby, Feb. 18, 1915, daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina (Rossi) Ausonio and was a Shelton resident for most of her life. She was employed for many years as a seamstress in shirt factories in Shelton, and Derby, and retired from the former Star Pin Company. Mrs. DeMarco enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and collecting crystal. She is the beloved mother of Angela Bartolucci, and her husband Daniel, and Vito DeMarco and his wife Catherine. She is the cherished grandmother of Heather Couture and her husband Marc, Danny Bartolucci, and his wife Lori, Darryl DeMarco, and his wife Melinda, and William DeMarco, and his wife Dawn. She is the adoring great grandmother of Samantha, and Andrew DeMarco, Nicholas and Sofia Couture, and Cara and Charlotte Bartolucci. Mrs. DeMarco is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, William and Patrick Ausonio. Friends may greet her family on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Thursday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, Shelton. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby.
