Susan DuBrow Obituary

Susan DuBrow
7.6.21
Susan Beth DuBrow, 71, died on July 6th, 2021 after battling Friedreich's Ataxia for almost 40 years. She pushed back against her illness with courage and creativity.
Susie was a gifted writer, artist, and gardener, who created beauty in many forms. For years, she wrote a monthly column for the New Haven Register about her life. Her large, lush garden gave her much joy, which she shared with her family and neighbors. She designed jewelry that captured her intense interest in many cultures. She was spunky and smart, outgoing and talkative, and enjoyed being with people of different backgrounds.
She loved her family deeply and filled her apartment with photos of them across the generations. She was the beloved daughter of Gloria and Bob Dulin. She is survived by her caring sister, Margie DuBrow of Philadelphia, and several loving cousins. Her dog, Moxie, and her bird, Tutti, were her constant companions.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Mary Wade Nursing Home and of Connecticut Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to Susie at the end of her life. She has now moved on to the next stage of her soul's journey.
