Thomas Francis Mulligan, III, 83, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 7, 2025, with his daughter by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary (Pyrdol) Mulligan.
Thomas was born on July 25, 1942, in New Haven, CT, a son of the late Thomas F. and Damien (Sharron) Mulligan, Jr. He attended West Haven schools and served as a proud United States Marine. Before his retirement, he worked for Armstrong Rubber in West Haven, U.S. Prolam in Waterbury and United Aluminum in North Haven. He enjoyed travelling and going to casinos, but most of all just being with his family enjoying a good cup of coffee or a beer.
Tom leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Laura A. Sparso and her husband, Michael of Naugatuck, CT and granddaughter, Amanda L. Sparso of New York, NY. He also leaves his sister, Mary Beth Laub and her husband, Val, brother, Gary Mulligan and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Marilyn Mulligan, nieces, Kathleen Pyrdol and Meredith Duarte and nephew, Edward Gambacini.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church/St. John XXIII Parish, 300 Captain Thomas Blvd., West Haven, CT. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven. There are no calling hours. Chase Parkway Memorial/Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, CT has been entrusted with Tom's arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Thomas' name may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
