Valerie Boykin Obituary
Valerie Lynn Boykin, age 63, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2017. Valerie was the eldest child of the late Melvin Boykin of Fayetteville, GA, and late Eloise Boykin of North Haven, CT. She enjoyed a 30-year employment history as a social worker, a tireless and vocal child welfare advocate. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Richard Boykin. Valerie leaves to cherish her memory Melvin and Mark Boykin of New Haven, CT; her sister, Lena Darlyne Boykin; her husband, Lincoln Roach and their children Brett and Taylor Boykin-Roach, all of Cary, NC, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral Service was held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 - 11 a.m. (Viewing 9-11 a.m.) at Monumental Baptist Church, 4948 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA. Her uncle Rev. Lucious Craddock delivered the eulogy. Interment: Fernwood Cemetery, Fernwood, PA 19050.

My condolences for your loss. I know this is a difficult time and words cannot truly express how you feel but please take comfort in what is said at Psalms 145:19. It tells us that God hears our cries for help. He promises to act soon.
