Victor Amodei Obituary
Victor B. Amodei, Sr., 83, of Meriden passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25th, 2024, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Maria Amore Amodei. Victor was born in Marsala, Sicily Italy on February 8th, 1941, and was the son of the late Gaspare and Paulina Pallidino Amodei. Stepson of the late Carmela DeLucia Amodei. He served his country faithfully in the US Army National Guard. A barber all his life, he was the owner/operator of the former Vic's Barber Shop in the Allingtown section of West Haven. Victor was a member of the Libero Pensiero Club, and enjoyed cooking, playing cards and bocci. Father of Maria Maskowsky (Richard), Victor B. Amodei, Jr. and Paul Amodei (Patricia). Grandfather of Gabriella Amodei, Rachel Maskowsky, Lily, Joseph, Matthew and Nathan Amodei. Brother of John Amodei (Rita) and the late Frank and Ralph Amodei.
The visiting hours will be Friday morning, Nov. 29th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
