BROGADIR, WILLIAM “BILL” William “Bill” Brogadir, 90, of Indian River Rd., Orange and formerly of Ansonia, devoted husband of the late Rachel “Raye” (Stricker) Brogadir, died at his home on Dec. 3, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY., April 28, 1924, he was a son of the late Louis & Polly (Platinsky) Brogadir. Beloved father of Dr. Richard and Tina Brogadir of Woodbridge, Dr. Stuart and Ilene Brogadir of Bedford, N.H. & Dr. Robert and Cindy Brogadir of Buffalo Grove, IL. Dear brother of Dr. Philip and Barbara Brogadir of Williamsville, NY. Also survived by cherished grandchildren, Seth and Dorie Brogadir, Josh and Becca Brogadir, Jill and Scott Boussy, Ben and Jackie Brogadir, Nat and Jenny Brogadir, Becca and Brad Goodman, Zach and fiancee Stephanie Conklin, as well as treasured great-grandchildren Jake, Julia, Sophie, Nathan, Norah, and Charlotte Rose. A WWII U.S. 15th Air Force veteran, Bill taught Social Studies at Shelton High School for 28 years. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a volunteer for Reading For The Blind & Dyslexic, and was an American Red Cross Multi-Gallon Donor. Funeral Services at Cong. B’nai Jacob, 75 Rimmon Rd., Woodbridge FRIDAY morning at 10:30 o’clock with Interment Services to follow at the B’nai Jacob Memorial Park, Wintergreen Ave.,New Haven.
