William Cassidy Obituary
William (Bill) A. Cassidy 90, of Hamden passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving children. Husband of the late Rosemary Ferrucci Cassidy. Loving father of Kevin (Barbara) Cassidy, Sharon (Jim) Welch, Janet (Bill) Coughlin, Brian (LeAnn) Cassidy, David (Laura) Cassidy, Laura (Greg) Capuano, and Leigh (Jerry Nero) Cassidy. Bill was born in New Haven December 3, 1935, son of the late John and Edith Miller Cassidy. Predeceased by his brothers John, Jim, Clayton, and sisters Margaret and Mary. He had 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and brother and sister in-laws. The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to his live in caregivers Margaret, Ruth, Annette, and Carmen. Bill was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School of West Haven. Bill began his working career at the New Haven Railroad and then went on to work many years and retired from the Town of Hamden. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Bill, Rosemary & family were my friends & next door neighbors for decades. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He was an avid gardener who kept a beautiful yard of vegetables & flowers. My deepest sympathy to his family. God bless.
