Alfred J. "Alfie" Davis

OCALA, Fla. - Alfred J. "Alfie" Davis, 62, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008. Born in Dover, he attended Newton High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1963 to 1967. He was employed by Deltona Nursery in Bellview. He was predeceased by his father, Alfred E. Davis and his wife, Bonnie Jean Seeley Davis. Alfred is survived by his mother, Dorothy A. Davis and a sister, Carol A. Poyer; four children, Julie Merkler and her husband, John, of Warren, Mich., and Connie Campbell, also of Warren, Alfred Jr. of Detroit, Mich., and Joseph of Alabama. He is also survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
