Anne M. Silling

UNIONVILLE, N.Y. -- Anne M. (Slockbower) Silling, age 81, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Minisink, N.Y., to the late Earl and Alice (Cosh) Slockbower, Anne lived in the Westtown-Unionville area most of her life. She was a driver for the Times Herald-Record newspaper before her retirement 15 years ago.

She was predeceased by her sister, Janice Slockbower; her longtime companion, James Bosserman; her former husband, William Silling; her brother-in-law, Alden Lain; and her sister-in-law, Yvonne Slockbower. Anne is survived by her son, Michael, of Unionville, N.Y.; her daughters, Brenda Dillin and her husband, James, of Campbell Hall, N.Y., Vickie Sinsabaugh and her husband, John, of Montogomery, N.Y., Judy Silling, of Unionville, N.Y., and Linda Duffus and her husband, John, of Cuddlebackville, N.Y.; her two brothers, John A. Slockbower, of Unionville, N.Y., and Richard E. Slockbower and his wife, Victoria, of Circleville, N.Y.; her sisters, Betty Slockbower, of Unionville, N.Y., Nancy Lain, of Wantage, Peggy Baker and her husband, Orie, of Cooperstown, N.Y., and Diane Suhocki and her husband, Dennis, of Richfield Spring, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects to the family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12, at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Unionville Cemetery.
